New Pasture Lane Community Centre Given Funding

The Lords Feoffees have made a donation of £1,965.19 to the New Pasture Lane Community Centre to cover the cost of carpeted flooring for the main hall.  The previous flooring had been in situ over 20 years and was very much in need of replacing.

The Community Centre is a registered charity with a mission to promote, enable and facilitate inclusive activities, which embrace and address the education, training, employment, welfare, mental health, social, cultural, and recreational needs of the local community.  Events taking place at the community centre include Crafty Club and a weekly breakfast buffet.

Lord Feoffee, Diane Davison, visited the community centre to present the donation to the centre managers Abi and Kate.

Run With It Given Funding

The Lords Feoffees have donated £1,860 to Run With It to provide a series of “Match Day Takeover” sessions at Bridlington FC.  Children taking part get involved behind the scenes on a match day and experience different roles such as ticket sales, announcements, commentary, photography, player interviews and more.  The days provide a positive experience for all involved and also help to raise aspirations, life and academic skills in a practical way.

Bridlington OTA Given Funding

The Lords Feoffees have given funding to the Bridlington Old Town Association (OTA) for the purchase of a community defibrillator.  The defibrillator is situated outside the Priory Church Rooms.  Deputy Chief Lord, Dr Allan Watson, presented a cheque for the donation to members of the OTA while standing beside the newly installed defibrillator.

6th Bridlington Scouts Given Funding

The Lords Feoffees gave funding to the 6th Bridlington Scouts for the hire of the Scout building at Kettleness for a long weekend of scouting activity.

Thank you so much to the Lords Feoffees for paying for this beautiful accommodation for us to take the Scout to Kettleness. This beautiful old Railway station is owned by the Kettleness Scouts and it really is fantastic. It was a much needed first weekend away as a group because of the covid pandemic of which we had only previously been meeting up over zoom. Because of your kind generosity we managed to go to Whitby and go crabbing, on the beach and do a taster session of surfing. But mainly we stayed at Kettleness and went brambling, played games, walked through the woods gathering up kindling for our camp fires and walked to Runswick Bay. It truly was an amazing weekend so thank you once again from all at 6th Bridlington Scouts. S Taylor – 6th Bridlington Scouts
