The Lords Feoffees have given funding to Burlington Junior School for the purchase of a 75″ interactive mobile TV.  The TV will be used for teaching and assemblies.

Congratulations to Lords Feoffees scholarship recipient, Katalina Leighfield, who has graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University with a 2:1 in psychology.

“In September of 2018 I had the great opportunity to attend Canterbury Christ Church University to study Psychology, 3 years later I have graduated with a 2:1. I never saw university in my future, never mind achieving the grade I did. I’m not going to lie, University is hard, but being awarded the scholarship by Lord Feoffees helped me in more ways than one. I was able to attend university knowing that I didn’t have to worry about how I was going to afford the resources I needed. I enjoyed my time at university because I was able to thrive in my studies and be comfortable without worrying about how I was going to afford life at university: Lord Feoffees offered me security in that.”  Katalina Leighfield, July 2021.

Applications are open until 30 July 2021 to be considered for a Lords Feoffees Scholarship of up to £1,200 per year.

One of the 22 birds forming ArtWaves Festival’s Visual Art Trail is currently on display in the window of 10a Manor Street.  Following the trail, the birds are being auctioned with the proceeds supporting further art projects.

The Lords Feoffees wish to convey our sincere thanks for the donation of £1,004 received for the Bayle Museum in memory of Mr Brian Towse.

The medals of Sergeant Joseph Sidney Towse, grandfather of Mr Brian Towse, are on display in the Bayle Museum’s Military Room as part of a permanent collection honouring the service of local military personnel.

The generous donation received in Mr Towse’s memory will go towards the upkeep of the Bayle, a grade I listed monastic gatehouse, and ensure that the Bayle Museum can continue to preserve Bridlington’s history and make Bridlington’s history accessible for generations to come.

The Lords Feoffees have built a new development of residential properties. The project has been the largest modern development the Lords Feoffees have undertaken and was executed with construction professionals from Maltech (UK) Ltd and Geo Houlton & Sons Ltd.

The new cul-de-sac, named Dairy Close, is situated off Scarborough Road on the site of the old Northern Dairies. The development of eight properties consists of four 2-bedroom semi-detached dormer cottages and four 2-bedroom semi-detached bungalows. Each property includes private parking and a private rear garden.

The Lords Feoffees are proud to continue to offer quality rental accommodation to the people of Bridlington and are pleased to welcome our new tenants to Dairy Close.

Lords Feoffees scholarship recipient, Ruby Walker, has graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class honours degree in history.

Art student Amanda Harvey, pictured, (with deputy mayor, Cllr Jackie Foster, Principal Mike Welsh & tutor Joy Verda) was exhibiting one of many standout pieces as part of the final year of her level 3 art course and hopes to progress to a HNC in September.

Mandy is a student at East Riding College and has just achieved DD*D* on an Art & Design Extended Diploma Course.

“My final major piece of work was the dress, which took 170 hours to complete in total.  It was a huge amount of work.  It is looking at art history from old to new, is made of an old, water-damaged book and is even wearable!  I wanted to highlight the relevance of art history to young people and designers/artists today.”

The Lords Feoffees have given funding to Burlington Infant School towards the redevelopment of their courtyard area.

The official opening ceremony of the completed courtyard took place earlier this month and representatives from the Lords Feoffees were pleased to attend.

The Lords Feoffees have given funding to Our Lady and St Peter RC Primary School towards an Arts Project in celebration of the school’s 40^th anniversary.

Pupils at the school are designing and making ceramic tiles to form a commemorative display for the school’s reception area.

The Lords Feoffees have given funding to the 9th Bridlington Rainbows and Brownies for a trip out to the pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, at the Spotlight Theatre.  We were sent this photo of some of the girls who enjoyed the pantomime.
